Measuring Your Feet for Shoes
Take 3 Simple Steps

Measure your length

a) Place the piece of paper on the floor and sit down in a chair with your foot resting on the piece of paper.
b) You will need a flexible tape measure
c) Measure the lentgh of the foot from the toe to the back of the heal in MM

 
Measure your width

d) As shown in the diagram above this is the ball of your foot, measure completely around your foot.
e) Follow this measurement to the arch of the foot and on the top you will feel a bone, measure completely around the arch to the bone.

I have been trying for two years to get a pair of properly fitting hiking shoes. At last I found a pair that was wide enough.Most hiking shoes that profess to be extra wide are not.
I had to return the first two pairs of these to get the right length.(11 and 11.5 ) The service at wide fit shoes is excellent. I had a pair of shoes delivered in increasing sizes on three consecutive days. Furthermore the returned shoes were credited to my debit cards within a few days instead of the usual 2/3 weeks.
Would suggest you get a size larger than you normally take.
